Michigan walk-on guard Cole McConnell brings size, shooting touch, and steady role-player energy
Cole McConnell is a 6-foot-5 guard from Atherton, Calif., who joined Michigan as a recruited walk-on and was known in high school for a polished all-around game, including 15.9 points, 4.4 rebounds, 2.6 assists, and 98 made threes in his senior season. His value is less about box-score fireworks and more about fit: size for the position, perimeter shooting, and a team-first mentality that earned him a reputation as a reliable practice and scout-team contributor. If you want a low-ego guard who can help your culture and spacing, he’s the kind of depth piece coaches appreciate.
