Physical, decorated linebacker with proven prep production
Jake Hampton arrived at Gardner-Webb as a **highly regarded linebacker recruit**, earning a 247Sports national ranking and repeated Florida all-state and all-county honors before college, which points to a player with clear range, toughness, and game speed. The available public profile does not provide current college stat production, but his background suggests a **reliable, competitive defender** who should fit best in a program valuing aggressive pursuit, physical tackling, and steady special-teams value. If you want a linebacker with résumé-driven upside and a blue-collar edge, he is worth a close look.
