High-Intensity QB with 2,413 Passing Yards, But Drug Probation Complicates Fit
Peter Lalich is a data-driven quarterback who finished with 2,413 passing yards and 21 touchdowns in his best season, showcasing elite arm strength and a 63.1% completion rate [1]. His differentiator is unmatched intensity—he played with full coach blessing despite probation, yet his refusal to admit drug use during probation creates a major red flag for team culture [6][4]. While his 2024 stats (3-1 record, 5.08 ERA) reflect competitive grit, his 680-yard, 2-TD, 4-INT career line at Virginia shows inconsistency [3]. He’s a high-risk, high-reward fit: ideal for teams valuing raw talent and resilience, but a poor fit for programs prioritizing off-field discipline. His personality is fiery and defiant, which can fuel wins but also ignite controversy.
