Quick slot threat, but not currently an active Maryland piece
Sean Savoy was a compact, twitchy slot receiver with Maryland ties, but the key context is that he was no longer with the Terrapins program by late 2019, so he should not be viewed as a current fit for Maryland’s 2026 roster. At Virginia Tech in the 2018 season, he showed real playmaking juice with 18 catches for 188 yards and 2 touchdowns, plus return value; the appeal was short-area quickness, competitiveness, and versatility more than size. If you’re looking for a proven college-level spark plug, he had that profile — just not as a present-day Maryland contributor.
