McKeesport DB Valdez Stuvaints Brings Size, Physicality and Local Edge to Pitt
Valdez Stuvaints is a Pittsburgh sophomore defensive back in the 2026 roster who walked on in June 2025 and did not see game action that season, so the big-picture read is still upside over production. His high school tape suggests a playmaker with 52 tackles, six pass breakups, four forced fumbles and three interceptions in his senior year, plus a tough, disruptive style that fits special teams and depth development. The best reason to care: he’s a local, hard-nosed defender with ball-hawking flashes and room to grow—classic “earn your stripes” Pitt energy.
