Tommy Mitchell is giving Elon a live-lefty look with real upside
In the 2026 season, Tommy Mitchell—Elon’s 6-foot-4 left-handed pitcher—looked like a useful rotation/depth piece with a high-end arm slot profile and enough strike-throwing ability to work seven innings in a career-best outing against UNCW.[4][10] He was a notable prep arm out of Milton, earning strong Perfect Game and Prep Baseball Report recognition before college, and his low-maintenance, L/L profile plus size give him intriguing development value.[4][8] If you want a lefty with room to grow and the temperament to handle longer outings, Mitchell is a good fit; if you need an established headline ace today, he’s more of a promising bet than a finished product.[4][10]
