veteran RMU linebacker with a knack for disruptive, all-around plays
Chad Wengert was a highly productive Robert Morris linebacker whose value went beyond tackles: in a 2007 win over Saint Francis, he posted 11 tackles, a forced fumble, an interception, a half-sack, two pass breakups and a quarterback hurry, and his 21 tackles that season led the team at that point.[1] He also entered that game with 169 career tackles, ranking 18th all-time at RMU, and Duquesne coach Scott Farison later cited him among the NEC Defensive Players of the Year he coached, underscoring his impact and reputation as a playmaker.[1][4]
