Lefty scorer who once gave Arkansas State real spacing and steal-pop
In the 2004-05 season, Jerry Nichols was Arkansas State’s third-leading scorer at 9.6 points per game, while adding 2.2 rebounds, 21 assists, 24 steals and 61 made threes; in the 2005-06 season he was limited by a torn ACL after averaging 5.3 points and 3.3 rebounds in four games. His calling card was clear: a 6-6 guard with perimeter shooting, defensive activity and enough versatility to handle guard duties. The big caution flag is durability, with a prior ACL history and another knee injury interrupting momentum. If you want a floor-spacer with edge, he fit; if you need a clean injury record, maybe not.
