Experienced UAB Guard with a Steady, Team-First Game
Maya Garland is a former UAB guard whose value came more from reliability and fit than gaudy scoring, posting 1.2 points, 1.0 rebounds, and 0.6 assists per game with 38.1% shooting in her UAB career snapshot[3]. She was also a seasoned veteran in the program, and UAB noted she played through an injury-plagued 2018-19 season, missing six straight games before returning to finish her career[5]. That profile suggests a composed, low-drama guard who could help with depth, maturity, and ball movement, especially if your team wants a role player who understands structure and doesn’t need high usage[3][5].
