6-foot-4 Creighton lefty with a real strikeout pedigree
Robert O’Malley is a long, projectable 6-foot-4 left-handed pitcher at Creighton whose best calling card is his bat-missing ability: in high school, he posted a 2.46 ERA with 181 strikeouts over 147.2 innings and capped his senior year with a 6-1 record, a 2.91 ERA, and 50 strikeouts in 45.2 innings. He redshirted in 2023 and was not part of the Bluejays’ baseball team in 2024, so the key question is whether his stuff translates now; if you want a developmental LHP with upside, size, and proven swing-and-miss traits, he’s worth a close look.
