veteran WVU run-stopper with old-school leverage and depth value
Brenon Thrift is a seasoned West Virginia defensive lineman whose value is built on experience, size, and sturdy interior depth rather than flashy stat lines; across his Mountaineer career, he’s been a rotational piece who understands the scheme and brings a dependable, physical presence. In the 2019 season, he played in 10 games and recorded 4 tackles, and earlier WVU coverage noted 14 games with 4 tackles and 0.5 tackles for loss across two seasons after transferring in. If you want a tough, assignment-sound DL who won’t panic when the trench fight gets ugly, he fits the bill.
