Emmitt Phinney brings size, pop, and veteran depth to SJSU's infield mix
In the 2025 season, Phinney barely saw the field for San José State, appearing in four games, but his track record is louder than that cameo: at Chabot College in 2024 he hit .376 with a .480 OBP, .661 SLG, 11 homers, and 46 RBIs, which screams middle-of-the-order upside. The 6-foot-3, 210-pound senior is a power-first infielder with real junior-college production and California All-Star recognition, making him a compelling fit if a team wants mature, physical offense with some sneaky thump.
