JP Acosta brings switch-hitting infield versatility and a disciplined bat to WKU
Acosta looks like a plug-and-play college infielder because his game is built on contact, plate discipline, and defensive flexibility rather than one loud tool. At Fresno City College, he produced a .346/.456/.539 career slash line with 104 RBI and 100 runs, then still posted a strong .285/.429/.512 in 2025 while continuing to work counts and punish mistakes; he also drew as many walks/HBPs as strikeouts at Western Kentucky last season, a rare sign of advanced bat control and competitiveness.
