Matt Johnson brings volume and bat-missing relief work to Wright State
Matt Johnson profiles as a reliable right-handed arm whose recent work suggests he can provide innings and leverage relief; in his latest listed college season, he appeared in 19 games with Dayton and posted 28.2 innings with a save, while earlier he logged 31 strikeouts in 22.2 innings over 14 relief outings for South Carolina Aiken. His edge is strikeout ability and bullpen flexibility, making him a fit if you want a pitcher who can handle pressure situations, though the available data suggests his command and consistency have varied from stop to stop.
