quietly steady, but the current football trail is thin
Gabe Howe is listed as a Rice Owls linebacker, but the publicly available 2026 football-specific performance data is very limited, so the clean read is that he’s more of a depth-and-development name than a proven stat-sheet star right now. His value, at least from what’s visible, would come from LB traits coaches prize: football IQ, physicality, and reliability in a system that asks linebackers to diagnose fast and tackle cleanly. If you need a low-drama, potentially useful fit who can grow into a role, Howe is worth a look; if you want immediate production, the evidence is still catching up.
