steady Lafayette guard with pass-first roots and veteran poise
Wheeler is a dependable, heady Lafayette guard whose value comes from feel, distribution, and perimeter comfort more than flash; he was described coming out of high school as a long combo guard who could beat defenders off the dribble and was an established passer with a high basketball IQ. In Lafayette’s 2024-25 rotation, he posted 2.4 points, 1.5 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game, which points to a connector role rather than a pure scorer. If a team wants a composed, team-first guard who can organize offense and keep the ball moving, he’s worth a look.
