polished lefty with a quick arm and sneaky strikeout upside
Joey Buchanan arrives at Bowling Green as a freshman LHP from Milford, Ohio, with a strong prep resume: he was a 2025 First Team All-State selection by Prep Baseball Report, the No. 7 left-handed pitcher in Ohio, and was praised by coaches for a clean delivery, big breaking ball, and quick arm. In his senior high-school season, he posted a 2.91 ERA with 51 strikeouts in 43.1 innings, and his competitive background as a multi-year captain suggests he brings intensity and mound presence, not just arm talent.
