Indiana State Sycamores' Historic 1,000-Point Guard with Elite Steals Prowess
Taylor Whitley etched her name in Indiana State lore as the 26th member of the 1,000-point club in the 2013 season, capping a stellar career with clutch scoring—like her career-high 14 points off the bench in a 65-63 thriller over Eastern Illinois (2009)—and defensive dominance, amassing 217 career steals to rank 7th all-time. A versatile guard with playmaking flair (career-best 9 assists), rebounding grit, and free-throw reliability (6-for-7 in key wins), her all-around intensity and poise make her a battle-tested differentiator. Ideal for teams needing a tenacious, multi-tool perimeter player who elevates in crunch time.
