UIW Safety Trey Colbert brings versatile, tackle-first value
Trey Colbert is a safety for UIW whose profile points to a dependable, multi-phase contributor rather than a flashy stat-stuffer: he has shown he can make stops in the run game, create backfield disruption, and even add value on special teams, including kick returns. UIW’s roster notes highlight a half tackle for loss, two tackles at Nicholls, and two kick returns for 43 yards at Lamar, suggesting a player coaches can trust in several roles. If you need a physical, assignment-sound defensive back who can help in coverage, run support, and hidden-yardage situations, he fits that mold.[2][3]
