veteran Maryland linebacker with a special-teams edge
Leroy Ambush’s Maryland profile points to a hard-nosed, older-school linebacker who earned his keep with special teams work and steady development, not flash. In his earlier Maryland stint, he was described as a solid starter at Sam linebacker, a strong special-teams performer, and one of the Terps’ leaner, better-conditioned linebackers, with body fat listed at 5.7%. The big takeaway: he fits teams that value toughness, discipline, and downhill physicality over highlight-reel production. The caveat? The available public info is dated, so any modern evaluation should be verified against current roster and recent-season usage.
