Pacific freshman RHP Maddox Moreno brings mid-90s upside and a starter’s frame
Moreno looks like a classic power-arm projection piece: Pacific lists the 6-foot, 205-pound right-hander as a freshman, while recruiting notes show fastball velocity ranging from 88–90 and touching 93 with a full three-pitch mix, plus a high-school résumé built on a 1.27 ERA, 5-2 record, and 41 strikeouts. He profiles as a strike-throwing competitor with room to grow physically and add more swing-and-miss as he settles into college ball, though his early Pacific results suggest he is still adjusting to the college level.
