Tyler Smith gives San Diego State a steady, low-drama backcourt glue guy
Tyler Smith’s 2025-26 profile at San Diego State shows a dependable guard who does the small things: in 28 career games, he has averaged 2.2 points, 1.6 rebounds, and 1.2 assists while shooting 39.6% from the field[1][9]. He stands out more for poise and connective play than for flashy scoring, which can make him a useful fit for a system that values discipline, defense, and unselfishness[1][9].
