Vermont Legend Tony Orciari: Elite Scorer and Sharpshooter from the Late 1990s
Tony Orciari (1997–2001) remains a Vermont basketball icon and one of the program's all-time greats. The guard finished with 1,743 career points (16.0 ppg), ranking second all-time at UVM, and drained a then-school record 305 three-pointers—making him only the second America East player to surpass 300 from deep. A deadly perimeter shooter with an 80.5% free-throw percentage, Orciari's combination of scoring efficiency and range made him a consistent offensive threat. His legacy as a clutch performer and high-volume three-point maker defined an era of Catamounts basketball.
