Army linebacker Xavier Ryan is a developing depth piece with size, system fit, and upside
In the 2026 season, Xavier Ryan is a sophomore outside linebacker at Army listed at 5-foot-11, 225 pounds, and he has not recorded game action yet, so the stat sheet is still basically in witness protection.[1][3] What makes him interesting is the Army fit: compact build, service-academy toughness, and the kind of developmental profile that can pop in a disciplined, physical scheme once the reps arrive.[1][14] If you want an immediate-impact linebacker, he is not that yet; if you want a gritty, systems-driven defender with room to grow, he’s a name worth keeping on the radar.[1][3]
