a durable, captain-level anchor with Big Ten respect
Ellis Jones has emerged as a reliable, high-minutes leader for Wisconsin, starting every game he played in 2025 and serving as a team captain while earning Big Ten preseason watch-list recognition and United Soccer Coaches All-North Region Third Team honors. He is a 6-foot-2, 185-pound defender who brings consistency, endurance, and leadership more than flashy box-score production, which makes him valuable if you need a steady, trusted presence who can organize the back line and handle heavy workload minutes.
