BYU's Hailey Morrow: Top-10 Shortstop with a 10-Year Quest and Elite Intensity
Hailey Morrow, BYU's senior shortstop ranked #9 in the 2026 D1Softball preseason rankings, stands out not just for her elite defensive instincts and lefty bat (.310 BA in 2025), but for her relentless 10-year quest to master the sport—a journey fueled by Las Vegas grit and an MBA-driven focus. Unlike typical stars, she’s a two-time Academic All-District honoree who led her team in strikeouts (122 in 2022) while studying Exercise Science, proving she thrives under pressure with unmatched intensity. Her bold transition to catcher (per Coach Eakin) reveals adaptability, making her a perfect fit for teams needing a high-intensity, academically disciplined leader who elevates every inning.
