Alex Espaillat is a polished, high-contact infielder with real run-producing pop
In the 2026 season, Alex Espaillat has been a steady middle-of-the-order presence for Alabama State, hitting .240 with 46 hits, 9 doubles, 29 runs, and 19 RBI in the Hornets’ current cumulative stats, while his career line sits at .317 with 72 hits and 60 runs scored. He’s more than a stat line: evaluators have praised his smooth infield actions, soft hands, athletic footwork, and accurate throw, and his bat has shown enough gap power to keep pitchers honest. If a team wants a dependable, contact-first IF who competes and can handle the game cleanly, he’s a strong fit.
