A hard-nosed App State linebacker with proven playmaking DNA
Weslan Hunter stood out at Appalachian State as a three-year starting linebacker and two-time All-Southern Conference defender, plus he even scored four defensive touchdowns during his Mountaineers career[1]. The big reason to care: he wasn’t just piling up tackles—he was a disruptive, game-flipping presence who showed instincts, toughness, and real ball skills, including a memorable pass breakup to preserve a win against ETSU[1][3]. For a team looking for a linebacker who brings urgency, production, and a knack for clutch moments, that’s a pretty tasty package.
