Weston Thornbury is a live-arm freshman reliever with late-inning upside for Fresno State
In the 2026 season, Fresno State freshman RHP Weston Thornbury logged 20 appearances and 28.0 innings with 22 strikeouts, making him one of the Bulldogs’ most-used relievers right away[1]. At 6-foot-2 and 185 pounds, he brings a starter-ish frame with bullpen poise, and the staff trusted him in middle and late-inning spots as a true freshman[1]. The raw run prevention numbers were uneven in 2026, but the usage tells the story: he’s already a bullpen piece with real upside, especially if your team values competitive strike-throwing and early-college toughness over polish[1][2].
