Hometown Iowa State OL with proven multi-year reliability
Colin Newell is a steady, scheme-fitting interior lineman for Iowa State who brought veteran leadership and consistency to a Cyclones offense that finished among the program’s better units in scoring and total production in 2021. He stands out less for splashy stats than for durability, experience, and the kind of dependable trench play coaches trust in run-first or balanced offenses. A hometown Ames product and former Outland Trophy watch-lister, he fits best with teams valuing toughness, continuity, and a low-drama, high-floor blocker.
