late-blooming ODU righty whose progress has earned real trust
Kellen Davis has grown into a useful bullpen arm for Old Dominion, posting a 4.66 ERA with 25 strikeouts and 3 saves over 29.0 innings, and ODU describes him as a long-term development project who earned his opportunity through patience and progress. He stands out more for trajectory than flash: a bigger 6-foot, 223-pound right-hander who has become dependable enough to finish games, with the kind of competitive growth coaches like because it suggests more upside than his current stat line alone shows.
