versatile New Mexico State DB with a two-way background and solid tackling foundation
Hinkle profiles as a versatile defensive back who brings multi-position experience from high school, having played cornerback, strong safety, and wide receiver, while also posting 59 career tackles and 2 interceptions at Liberty HS. New Mexico State listed him at 6-foot-1, 190 pounds, a good frame for a DB who can match up physically and contribute in multiple coverage roles. There is limited public evidence of recent college production, so the key question is projection: whether his size, versatility, and defensive instincts translate into consistent impact at the FBS level.
