Minnesota CB with Elite Size but a Complicated Legacy
The search results do not contain performance data for a current Minnesota Golden Gophers cornerback named Dominic Jones; instead, they identify two distinct individuals: a former Minnesota safety (Dominic Lee Jones, class of ~2007) who was a team leader but is now a former inmate due to a 2007 sexual assault conviction, and a current NFL cornerback (Dom Jones) for the Cleveland Browns who played college football at Colorado State and North Dakota State, not Minnesota. The Browns' Dom Jones struggled in the 2025 season with a 51.2 PFF grade, 0 interceptions, and a 136.3 passer rating allowed when targeted, while the Minnesota player is no longer active. Consequently, there is no current college athlete by this name at Minnesota to analyze for strengths, rankings, or team fit, as the name likely refers to a historical figure with a severe off-field differentiator or a misidentified NFL player.
