veteran Texas State defensive back with a tackle-first edge
Tymajrick Jackson is a former Texas State safety/defensive back who built his rep as a physical, reliable defender rather than a stat-sheet stunt double; in the 2012 season, Texas State’s roster and stats list him as a redshirt freshman DB, and team records show he contributed in the secondary during that era. He’s the kind of player teams like because he brings positional versatility, toughness, and special-teams value—more grinder than highlight reel, but exactly the sort of tone-setter who can help a defense stay connected and disciplined.
