Hailey King brings speed, gap power, and freshman upside to UC Riverside’s outfield
Hailey King is a freshman outfielder for UC Riverside in the 2026 season, and her profile screams upside: she’s a 5-foot-8 left-right hitter from California HS with varsity experience and a history of driving the ball for extra bases. Her 2026 stat line shows a .268 on-base percentage and 2 doubles, which suggests a work-in-progress bat but one with room to grow as she adjusts to college pitching. What makes her intriguing is the combination of athleticism, defensive versatility in the outfield, and the kind of energy profile that can turn into a sneaky-good everyday piece if the contact rate climbs.
