TJ Dement is a compact, efficient RB with real red-zone juice for UTRGV
In the 2025 season, TJ Dement gave UTRGV a useful spark as a freshman back, finishing with 322 rushing yards, 5 rushing touchdowns, and 5.3 yards per carry while adding 74 receiving yards on 9 catches. He’s a 5-foot-8, 190-pound runner who can create quick yards, punch in scores, and handle some receiving work out of the backfield. The extra appeal: he was recognized on UTRGV’s 2025 Southland Conference All-Academic team, which suggests a disciplined, dependable player with room to grow into a bigger role.
