Elite Strikeout RHP with Junior-Season Dominance and Shutdown Intensity
James Fordham, a 6'0"/195lb right-handed pitcher for Western Carolina, is a junior-season standout who finished his previous year with a 7-2 record, 4.15 ERA, and 85 strikeouts (second on the squad) over 78 innings, winning his first seven decisions consecutively. His 2026 stats show a 5-4 record with 48 strikeouts and a 5.57 ERA, but his differentiator is his shutdown intensity—he once induced a critical strikeout to tie the game and secure a shutdown inning in the 2nd, showcasing elite composure under pressure. Known for his fierce competitiveness and Georgia roots (Chester, GA), Fordham is a high-intensity, reliable arm with a knack for big moments, making him a perfect fit for teams needing a strikeout-heavy RHP who thrives in tight games. No major injury history reported; his intensity level is top-tier, and his personality is driven and focused.
