Explosive 2011 OVC Kick Return Star for EIU Panthers
Tavares Crawford electrified Eastern Illinois as a sophomore DB in 2011, ranking 7th nationally in FCS kick return average at 31.2 yards per return (1st in OVC) with a dazzling 83-yard TD return—his dynamic speed and big-play instincts filled the void left by injured Lorence Ricks, earning CFPA National Kick Returner of the Week honors. A reliable starter with 31 tackles (21 solo), Crawford's versatility and special teams prowess make him a game-changer worth watching, though his era has passed; ideal for teams needing explosive return specialists.
