Michigan’s extra-tough blocking TE with almost no passing-game résumé
In the 2022 season, Honigford’s value was built on trench work, not targets: Michigan listed him as a 6-6, 260-pound tight end who also played on the offensive line, with six starts at TE and a career reputation as a powerful blocker.[2][13][15] His differentiator is simplicity and nastiness at the point of attack — scouts praised his leverage, hand placement, and short-area toughness, while also noting the obvious tradeoff: very limited receiving production and little vertical speed.[13][15] If your team needs a rugged, goal-line, or short-yardage hammer, he fits; if you want a featured pass-catching TE, this is not that guy.[13][15]
