Wyatt Ward is already a tone-setting young linebacker at Wofford
In the 2025 season, Wyatt Ward broke through as a true freshman for Wofford, playing in 11 games with four starts and finishing with 55 total tackles, which earned him a spot on the SoCon All-Freshman Team. He also added 2.0 sacks and forced a fumble, showing disruptive upside beyond just cleaning up plays. At 6-foot-1 and 220 pounds, he looks like a downhill, physical linebacker with early trust from the staff—exactly the kind of underclassman who can grow into the heart of a defense.
