Blue-chip DB talent whose career was cut short by medical issues
In the 2021 season, Lovasea Carroll arrived at Georgia as a 6-1, 195-pound freshman defensive back with blue-chip recruiting pedigree and the kind of long, athletic frame coaches love for versatility and special teams value. He was originally recruited as a running back, and early scouting reports praised his speed, long stride, and physical upside, but his college path was derailed when he later transferred to South Carolina and ultimately retired for medical reasons, so his current “performance” profile is more about what he could have become than live on-field production. If your team wants upside, length, and toughness, the traits were there; the availability, unfortunately, was not.
