Fordham's 2008 Freshman QB Spark Plug
Clayton Busch burst onto the Fordham Rams scene as a true freshman in 2008, appearing in 10 games with poise beyond his years—completing 2-of-3 passes for 23 yards while rushing 6 times for 38 yards (6.3 avg), and earning trust as the backup to star QB John Skelton plus handling holding duties. His quick ascent up the depth chart highlights rare mobility, decision-making, and reliability under pressure, making him a gritty, versatile fit for pro-style offenses valuing multi-tool QBs who thrive in high-stakes FCS action—watch for his developmental upside if still on rosters post-college.
