Marcell Barnes brings linebacker range and depth to UAPB's defense
Barnes is a useful Arkansas-Pine Bluff linebacker target because his profile fits a modern, assignment-sound defender: a physical tackler who can handle run fits and add stability to a defense that needs reliable, steady play. ESPN lists him as a Golden Lions linebacker, and UAPB’s 2024 game materials show he was part of the active defensive group against Arkansas, indicating he was in the mix at a high-visibility stage. The key appeal is role value rather than flashy stats—if you need a dependable LB with toughness and willingness to do the dirty work, he makes sense.
