Virginia Tech's Clutch G/F Captain Turned Proven Coach
Carlos Dixon, a 6-7 G/F from Virginia Tech (2001-05), etched his legacy as team captain and MVP in his junior and senior years, averaging 13.8 PPG in 2004-05 to lead the Hokies to their first postseason (NIT) since 1996; he ranks 22nd all-time in points (1,348) and 10th in steals (183). A gritty, versatile scorer with leadership that shone in the ACC, Dixon transitioned seamlessly to pro ball overseas before becoming a top assistant coach at Queens and now App State—ideal for teams seeking intense, battle-tested mentors who develop winners.
