Gilbert Saunders III is a big-bodied righty with bullpen upside for St. Bonaventure
Saunders III has shown useful relief value for St. Bonaventure in the 2026 season, appearing in 15 games with a team-best 4.58 ERA, a 4-0 record, and one save, while also ranking among the club’s strikeout contributors with 13 Ks in 17.2 innings.[1] His profile is intriguing because at 6-foot-4 and 260 pounds he brings a power pitcher build and enough late-inning flexibility to handle high-leverage work, and his Northwoods League save plus “Pitcher of the Night” nod suggests he can hold up in pressure spots.[2][3]
