Claudia Gomez brings veteran guard poise and efficient finishing to Iona
Claudia Gomez is a compact, high-IQ guard who has shown efficient scoring touch and solid all-around contribution for Iona, including a freshman line of 2.0 points, 1.3 rebounds and 0.8 assists per game on 60.0% shooting in 2020-21. Her edge is not flashy volume but reliable decision-making, good court feel and a background that suggests real upside in a structured role. She can fit a team that values steady guard play, spacing and toughness over raw shot-taking; the question is whether a roster needs a connector more than a primary creator.
