Paula Fraile Ruiz brings size, resilience, and international pedigree to Miami
Paula Fraile Ruiz is a 6-foot-4 forward from Barcelona who has been part of Miami’s program since 2021, and her calling card is clear: length, frontcourt versatility, and a comeback story that speaks to real toughness. She missed the 2020-21 season because of injury after a COVID-related myocarditis setback, then returned in 2021-22 and was described by Miami as a player whose goal was to bring energy and a good attitude. For a team, she’s intriguing because she adds size and experience with Spanish national-team and Basketball Without Borders background—but her on-court sample at Miami has been limited, so the upside story is bigger than the stat sheet.
