Akron’s record-setting, clutch-field-goal kicker
Robert Stein was a high-impact specialist for Akron, finishing his career as the program’s all-time scoring leader with 268 points and earning bowl MVP honors after drilling key kicks in the 2015 Famous Idaho Potato Bowl. His value comes from reliability in pressure moments, plus strong kickoff production and a big-leg ceiling that showed up with a long field goal of 51 yards. For a team needing a composed, proven kicker who can swing close games, Stein’s track record suggests a dependable fit.
