Michael Sturgis brings high-volume tackling pedigree and strong-safety grit to Murray State
Sturgis profiles as a physical, reliable **strong safety** whose calling card is production and range: at Estero High School, he helped his team go 11-2, set the school’s career tackles record, and piled up 202 tackles as a senior. That background suggests a defender who plays with urgency, instincts, and consistency rather than flash, which can be valuable for a team needing a steady tone-setter on the back end. Publicly available Murray State and ESPN pages confirm his position and roster status, but do not show current college stat detail, so his appeal is mainly based on proven tackling volume and defensive toughness.
