Projectable Wright State righty with a live arm and room to climb
Aaron Taka is a 6-foot-1, 190-pound redshirt freshman right-hander from Honolulu who brings upside more than a long college résumé right now. Wright State lists him as an RHP on the 2026 roster, but publicly available team pages do not yet show game statistics for him, so the appeal is about projection: a developing arm from a respected baseball pipeline, with the kind of frame and role that can grow into mid-rotation or leverage value if the command and pitch mix sharpen. If you need a polished, proven stopper today, he’s still a watch-list guy; if you want upside, he’s interesting.
